WIDE OPEN WORLD was written by me and my One Flew South brother Chris Roberts. I was going through a rough time when we wrote this, and I believe this song shows a true sense of optimism in the face of sorrow. The line that says it all for me is ,"Catch the spinning breeze, Life's the remedy, to the pain of living in the wide open world".
lyrics
Just breathe another breath,
No worry for what comes next
Bright lights they burn and they fade
Only the day knows the way
It's a Wide Open World
There's always gonna be a
Wide Open World
Where everybody's free to
catch a spinning breeze
life's the remedy
to the pain of living in a
Wide Open World
Just send another prayer
Close your eyes good and tight
Throw your arms up into the air
Hearts break but mend over time
Love only wants to fly high over the
Wide Open World
There's always gonna be a
Wide Open World
Where everybody's free to
catch the spinning breeze
life's the remedy
to the pain of living in a
Wide Open World
Just breathe another breath
Don't worry for what comes next
In the Wide Open World
There's always gonna be a
Wide Open World
and everybody's free
In the Wide Open World,
There's always gonna be a
Wide Open World
and everybody's free to
catch a spinning breeze
life's the remedy
to the pain of living in a
Wide Open World
