"The Coldest Finger " is an instrumental track I wrote in early 1996, initially a sad blues written after an argument with a friend. It took a different turn a couple weeks after conception, when I discovered that I could kind of imitate slide guitar without using a slide, by bending the strings in quarter tones, along with some chord moves using a finger as if it were a slide. I've since really tried to develop the technique, but this track is an early example of the idea, and comes from the 1996 HMG release "Magic Screen".
