On a typically busy teaching day in early January, 2017, I received a call from my dear friend and marketing manager Stacy Booth, about a hotel being built in Charleston by her boss, real estate developer Mike Bennett. He intended to call the property "Hotel Bennett". and she told him he needed a song. a la "Hotel California". She called me and told me I just had to write something; 5 minutes after the call I found that I had a 15 minute break, so I wrote the song and sent it back...who would've expected, at that moment , that it would start the process that became the new release, WE LOVED ALOUD.
